Ultracoir is an organic, renewable resource, obtained from natural coconut husks, that offers many features and benefits to the gardening enthusiast and professional horticulturist. Ultracoir's unique physical properties result in both increased water-holding capacity and increased root-zone aeration. Ultracoir wets and re-wets easily with each brick yeilding approximately .4 cubic feet when wetted to 80% moisture with one gallon of water per brick.

Ultracoir may be used for propagation of cuttings and seedlings, potted and hydroponic crops as well as bedding and border plants. Since Ultracoir is an inert growing medium (contains no nutritive elements) we strongly recommend initial wetting and continued watering with the liquid earth Nutrient System for best results. Ultracoir may also be combined with Aerolite (perlite) at a 1:1 ratio for plants that prefer drier mixes like Orchids and Cacti.
